Separate Billing Per Workspace
Plans, subscriptions, invoices and usage belong to one workspace. A plan paid for in one workspace never covers another, and each workspace is billed on its own.
In Flidu you do not buy a plan for your account. You buy a plan for a workspace. Each workspace carries its own plans, its own subscriptions and its own invoices, and nothing you pay for in one workspace changes what another can do. This guide explains what that means in practice and where to find each workspace’s billing.
What Each Workspace Has Of Its Own
- A Website Widgets plan and an AI Chatbot plan. The two product lines are chosen and billed separately, even inside one workspace. See Plans Per Product Line.
- Limits and usage counters for each product line.
- A subscription and a billing cycle, monthly or yearly, for each paid product line.
- Invoices and payment activity.
- A seat limit for teammates, set by the highest active plan in that workspace.
- Bundle & Save eligibility, which needs both product lines on paid plans in the same workspace.
A workspace never uses another workspace’s plan. If you run three workspaces and move one to Business, the other two stay exactly as they were.
Your First Workspace And Additional Ones
The workspace created when you signed up can stay on Free for as long as you like. Every additional workspace has to start on at least one paid plan of its own: Starter, Pro, Business or an Agency preset, on Website Widgets, on AI Chatbot, or on both. You choose those plans while creating the workspace, and it becomes available once its own paid plan is active. Create And Switch Workspaces walks through the steps.
An Agency preset works the same way. Its websites, assistants and allowances sit inside the one workspace that holds the plan. They are not spread across your other workspaces.
What each plan includes is on the Pricing page.
Open Billing For A Workspace
- Use the workspace switcher at the top of the sidebar to open the workspace you want to check.
- Select Billing in the sidebar.
- Use the tabs across the top to move between sections.
| Tab | What It Shows For This Workspace |
|---|---|
| Overview | Both product lines side by side, each with its own plan and usage. |
| Website Widgets | The current Website Widgets plan, the plans you can move to, and usage against its limits. |
| AI Chatbot | The same for the AI Chatbot plan. |
| Bundle & Save | Whether the workspace qualifies for the bundle price. |
| Invoices | Invoices for confirmed payments, each with Download invoice. |
| Payment Settings | Each product line that has an active subscription, with Update payment method, and recent payment activity. |
Payments are processed by Dodo Payments. When you start a checkout or update a payment method you finish on the payment provider’s secure page. Card details stay with the payment provider and are not stored in the Flidu dashboard.
Who Can Open Billing
- Owner: always.
- Admin: only when the Owner has turned on Allow Billing Access for them. It is off by default.
- Viewer: never.
Someone without billing access does not see Billing in the sidebar at all. To grant it, the Owner opens Team, opens the menu on the Admin’s row, selects Manage Billing Access, turns on Allow Billing Access and selects Save. The Admin’s row then reads Billing access enabled.
Billing access is set per workspace, like everything else. An Admin with billing access in one workspace has no view of billing in another. Roles are covered in Invite Teammates And Roles.
Check Plans Across Your Workspaces
Each workspace is billed on its own, but you can see every workspace’s plans without switching into each one:
- The workspace switcher lists each workspace with both of its plans.
- Manage Workspaces in the switcher opens All Workspaces, where the Website Widgets and AI Chatbot columns show each workspace’s paid plan.
- In Workspace Settings, the General card has a Product Subscriptions line for the workspace you are in, with Manage Billing beside it if you have billing access.
When The Owner Changes
Billing responsibility follows the Owner. When ownership of a workspace is transferred, the new Owner has billing access and the former Owner stays in the workspace as an Admin with billing access off. The transfer does not change the payment method on file, so sort out the card, renewal and invoice details before you transfer. The steps are in I Need To Transfer Ownership Or Remove A Workspace.
If Something Does Not Work
- Billing is not in the sidebar. You are a Viewer, or an Admin without billing access, in this workspace. Ask the Owner to turn on Allow Billing Access.
- You upgraded but the limits did not change. Check which workspace you are in: a plan applies only to the workspace it was bought in. If you are in the right one, see I Paid But My Plan Has Not Updated.
- The Invoices tab is empty. Invoices appear after the first confirmed payment in that workspace. Switch to the workspace that holds the paid plan.
- Bundle & Save shows Not Eligible Yet. Both product lines must be on paid plans in the same workspace. A paid Website Widgets plan in one workspace and a paid AI Chatbot plan in another do not combine.
- You want to change or cancel a plan. See I Want To Change Or Cancel My Plan.
