Create And Switch Workspaces

A workspace keeps its own websites, widgets, AI assistants, team, plans and billing. Move between workspaces from the sidebar switcher, and create another one as an Owner.

Everything you build in Flidu lives in a workspace. Your first workspace was created when you signed up (see Create Your Workspace And First Website), and you can belong to more: ones you create and ones you are invited to. This guide covers how to move between them, where to see them all, and how to create another one.

What A Workspace Keeps Separate

Each workspace has its own:

  • Websites, Website Widgets and AI assistants.
  • Website Widgets plan and AI Chatbot plan, each with its own limits and usage counters.
  • Team, with its own roles and seat limit.
  • Billing: subscriptions, invoices and payment settings.
  • Data Hub records and analytics.

None of this is shared between workspaces. A plan you pay for in one workspace does not raise limits in another, and a teammate invited to one workspace cannot see the others.

Switch Between Workspaces

The workspace switcher sits at the top of the sidebar, under the Flidu logo. It shows the name of the workspace you are in and its two plans, for example Website Widgets Pro · AI Chatbot Starter.

  1. Select the switcher to open the Switch Workspace menu.
  2. Find the workspace you want. Each row shows your role there (Owner, Admin or Viewer) and both of its plans. A tick marks the workspace you are in.
  3. Select it. The page shows Switching workspace… and then refreshes with that workspace’s websites, team and settings.

The sidebar, Billing, Team and Workspace Settings always describe the workspace you are in. Team and Workspace Settings show a Current workspace chip with its name, so you can check before you change anything. Flidu remembers your choice, so the same workspace opens the next time you sign in.

On a phone or in a narrow window the sidebar is replaced by a bottom bar. Select More, then Workspaces, and choose Open on the workspace you want.

See Every Workspace In One List

Open the switcher and select Manage Workspaces. The page All Workspaces lists every workspace you own or have joined.

ColumnWhat It Shows
WorkspaceThe name, the workspace username, and any purpose or client label you gave it.
Your roleOwner, Admin or Viewer in that workspace.
Website WidgetsThat workspace’s paid Website Widgets plan. A dash means the product line has no active paid plan.
AI ChatbotThat workspace’s paid AI Chatbot plan, shown the same way.
MembersActive members against the seat limit, for example 2 / 5.

A badge beside the name marks the workspace you are in (Current) and any workspace with a status other than active: Pending activation, Pending removal, Suspended or Archived. On a phone or in a narrow window the two plans appear as chips under the workspace name instead of in columns. Select Open on a row to switch to that workspace, or Settings on the current one to go to its Workspace Settings. Open is offered for workspaces that are active or pending removal.

Create Another Workspace

Your first workspace can stay on Free. Every additional workspace needs at least one paid plan of its own: a paid Website Widgets plan, a paid AI Chatbot plan, or both. Only the Owner of the workspace you are currently in can create one. Plans are compared on the Pricing page.

  1. Open the workspace switcher and select Create Workspace. A full-screen flow titled Create new workspace opens with four steps.
  2. Workspace Details. Enter a Workspace Name and a Workspace Username: 4–40 lowercase letters, numbers or hyphens, starting and ending with a letter or number, and unique across Flidu. Workspace Purpose and Client / Project Label are optional.
  3. Choose Product Line. Pick Website Widgets, AI Chatbot or Website Widgets + AI Chatbot.
  4. Choose Plan. For each product line you picked, choose Starter, Pro, Business or Agency, and set billing to Monthly or Yearly. Choosing Agency adds an Agency preset to pick. For Enterprise, select Contact sales.
  5. Review & Pay. Check the summary, then select Continue to payment.

After You Continue To Payment

The workspace is created in a pending state and you go on to pay for the plans you chose. Nothing is charged until you complete billing. The workspace becomes available once its own paid plan is active. Until then it does not appear in the switcher. It is listed on All Workspaces with a Pending activation badge, and Continue Setup on that row takes you back to finish.

Label Client WorkspacesFill in Client / Project Label when a workspace belongs to a client or a project. The label is shown under the workspace name on All Workspaces, which makes a long list easier to scan.

Rename A Workspace

Owners and Admins can change a workspace’s details in Workspace Settings, on the General card. Edit Workspace Name, Workspace Purpose or Client / Project Label and select Save Changes. To change the username, select Change Username, enter the new one and select Save Username. The old username is released straight away, so someone else can claim it. Viewers can read these details but cannot edit them.

If Something Does Not Work

  • Create Workspace opens a notice instead of the four steps. The notice says that only a workspace Owner can create one. You are an Admin or a Viewer in the workspace you are in. Switch to a workspace you own, then start again.
  • That workspace username is already taken. Usernames are unique across Flidu. Try a variation.
  • A workspace with this name already exists. One of the workspaces you can open already has that name. Choose a different one so the two are easy to tell apart in the switcher.
  • The new workspace is not in the switcher. It is still pending activation. Open Manage Workspaces and select Continue Setup on its row. If the row has no Continue Setup button, contact us.
  • You no longer have access to a workspace. If your membership was removed, Flidu opens another of your workspaces and shows a notice. Ask that workspace’s Owner for a new invitation.
  • You want to hand over or remove a workspace. See I Need To Transfer Ownership Or Remove A Workspace.
