Ask AI handles common questions. When it cannot help, visitors can switch to the Contact tab in the same widget instead of leaving. From AI Chatbot Starter, Fallback Capture can also ask for contact details when Ask AI is unable to respond.

What Is AI Chatbot?
AI Chatbot is the Ask AI side of Flidu. It learns from the sources you trust — your website, a sitemap, selected URLs, approved files, pasted text and, on paid plans, Manual Q&A — so visitors get source-backed answers inside one lightweight Flidu widget.
Can Ask AI Learn From More Than Website Pages?
Yes. Besides a website or sitemap, Ask AI can use a Manual URL List, uploaded text files and pasted text. Manual Q&A is available from AI Chatbot Starter. How many sources you can add depends on your plan.
Can I Upload Documents?
Yes. Upload TXT, Markdown, CSV or HTML files up to 2 MB each. Flidu indexes the readable text; other formats, such as PDF or Word, are not accepted. How many files you can add depends on your plan.
Can I Add My Own Q&A?
Yes, from AI Chatbot Starter. Manual Q&A lets you add your own question-and-answer pairs for important business details. They are source knowledge Ask AI can answer from — not a reply inbox.
Can I Control Which Pages Are Ignored?
Yes. Included & Ignored Pages lets you add patterns so matching pages are skipped on the next crawl, and you can ignore a single page in Indexed Content, which takes effect straight away. How many patterns you can add depends on your plan.
What Happens When A Source Fails To Index?
Pages that could not be read are listed under Failed in Indexed Content with the reason, and a failed source shows Retry indexing on its card. If a recrawl fails, the previously indexed version is kept.
Is This A Broad Operations Platform?
No. Flidu is a website communication widget and AI chatbot, not a live chat tool — nobody joins the Ask AI conversation. Ask AI answers from your sources; your own tools keep the conversation.
Can I Use AI Chatbot Without Website Widgets?
Yes. AI Chatbot can work completely on its own. Website Widgets is a separate product line you can add later.
Can I Add Website Widgets Later?
Yes. When you add Website Widgets, Contact actions appear inside the same Flidu widget — no second widget to install.
What Are Source Cards?
Source Cards list up to three sources Ask AI looked at for a question. They appear under the answer by title, linked to the page where there is one, so visitors can check the reply and read more. Not every answer has them.
Does AI Chatbot Unlock Country Targeting?
No. Country Targeting is a Website Widgets feature only. AI Chatbot does not unlock Website Widgets targeting.
