I Am Not Receiving Form Submissions
Most often the form is not published, the notification address is wrong, or the test was sent from a page outside your live domain. Check the form status, then the address, then your notification mode.
When a visitor sends a Contact Form, Feedback or Guided Form, Flidu emails the submission to a notification address. On Website Widgets Business and above, the submission is also kept as a record in the Data Hub. If nothing reaches you, one step in that chain is not set the way you expect. Check each step in this order.
Check That The Form Is Live
Open Website Widgets in the dashboard sidebar, open your website, and go to the Channels tab. Find the form in the Channel Builder card and read the status on its row.
| Status | What It Means | What To Do |
|---|---|---|
| Draft | The form was never published, so visitors do not see it. | Click Edit, then Publish changes. A Contact Form needs a Notification email before it can be published. |
| Preview only | Your Website Widgets plan does not include this form. | Upgrade, then publish. Contact Form and Feedback are included from Starter, Guided Form from Pro. |
| Live · edited | The form is live, but your latest changes are not. | Click Edit, then Publish changes. |
| Off | The form was turned off. | Use the switch on its row to turn it back on. If the switch cannot be used, click Edit, make sure Enabled in draft is on, save, then click Publish changes. |
| Temporarily limited | This month’s visitors passed the plan’s premium-feature limit, so forms are paused. | Upgrade, or wait for the period to reset. |
| Live | Visitors can use the form. | Go to the next check. |
Forms follow the Website Widgets plan only. An AI Chatbot plan does not unlock them, and if the workspace moves to a plan that does not include a form, visitors stop seeing that form until you upgrade again. The widget itself also has to appear on your site: if it does not, start with Widget Not Showing.
Check Where Notifications Are Sent
- Contact Form. Open the form with Edit and read Notification email. Each Contact Form sends to the one address in that field.
- Feedback and Guided Form. These have no address of their own. They send to the Notification Email on the website’s Settings tab, under Site Settings.
Correct the address and save it. A Contact Form change needs Save as Draft and then Publish changes. A Site Settings change needs Save Changes. Then look in the spam or junk folder of that mailbox: the email is sent by Flidu, not from your own domain.
Check How You Are Testing
- Test on your live website. Forms accept submissions only from the website domain set for the widget. A staging address, a preview link or a different subdomain counts as a different domain. The domain is the Domain field on the Settings tab.
- Leave a minute or so between your own test submissions. Spam protection is built in and always on.
- Fill the form in the way a visitor would. If something is missing or invalid, the form shows a short message and nothing is sent. In the Contact Form, the Name field accepts letters only, with no spaces, so test with a single-word name and write a full sentence in the Message field.
Check Your Notification Mode
This check applies on Website Widgets Business and above. Open Data Hub in the sidebar and go to the Notification Controls tab. In the Website Widgets card, Instant email sends an email for every submission. Every other mode changes that:
- Daily digest and Weekly digest send one summary email per day or per week, and nothing in between.
- Low ratings only emails you only when feedback is low. Other submissions stay in the Data Hub.
- Priority only still emails Contact Form submissions, but keeps Feedback and Guided Form responses in the Data Hub without an email.
- Dashboard only and No emails stop routine submission emails. The records stay in the Data Hub.
Look at the Channel rules list under the modes as well, because a single channel can have a mode of its own. Below Business, every submission uses instant email, so this setting is not the cause. See Notification Controls.
Check Where You Are Looking
Below Website Widgets Business, a submission reaches you as the notification email only, and nothing is listed in the dashboard. From Business, each accepted submission is also kept in Data Hub, on the Records tab. If the record is there and the email is not, the cause is the address, a mail filter or the notification mode. See Records And Submissions.
What A Correct Result Looks Like
Send a test from your live site. The form shows its success message, and the notification arrives at the address you checked. Replying to a Contact Form email goes straight to the visitor. On Business and above, the same submission appears in the Data Hub. The visitor is not emailed a copy: the message on screen is their confirmation.
If a test from your live domain still does not arrive, contact us with the website domain and the time you sent the test.
