Notification Controls
Notification Controls decide how Flidu tells you about new records: an email for each one, a daily or weekly digest, or kept in Data Hub with no email. Set a default per product line and a rule per channel.
By default Flidu emails you each time a visitor sends a Contact Form, Feedback or Guided Form submission, or leaves their details with Ask AI. Once your plan stores those records in Data Hub, you can change that. Notification Controls is the Data Hub tab where the workspace Owner and Admins choose how often those emails arrive, or turn them off and work from the dashboard.
Open Notification Controls
- In the dashboard sidebar, choose Data Hub.
- Choose the Notification Controls tab.
- Find the two cards, Website Widgets and AI Chatbot. Each product line is set on its own.
Only the workspace Owner and Admins can use the tab. Viewers see “Notification settings are available to workspace owners and admins.”
The Seven Delivery Modes
| Mode | What It Does |
|---|---|
| Instant email | Emails you for every new record as it arrives. This is the default. |
| Daily digest | Sends one summary email per day and nothing in between. |
| Weekly digest | Sends one summary email per week and nothing in between. |
| Low ratings only | Emails you only when feedback is low. Other records stay in Data Hub. |
| Priority only | Emails you only for must-send notices. Everything else stays in the dashboard. |
| Dashboard only | Keeps records in the dashboard and sends no routine email. |
| No emails | Turns off routine notification emails entirely. |
The mode changes emails only. Every record is still stored in Data Hub, whichever mode you choose, and transactional and security notices are always sent.
How Each Mode Behaves In Practice
- Digests contain the number of new records and the period they cover, not the visitors’ details. A daily digest covers the previous day and a weekly digest the previous Monday to Sunday, both in UTC. A period with no new records sends no digest. Digests go to the workspace Owner and Admins.
- Low ratings only is offered on the Website Widgets card and on Feedback channels, not on the AI Chatbot card. Chosen on the card, it also holds back Contact Form and Guided Form emails, so set it as a rule on a Feedback channel if you only want fewer Feedback emails.
- Priority only still emails Contact Form submissions on the Website Widgets card. Feedback and Guided Form responses are kept in Data Hub without an email, and so are Ask AI enquiries on the AI Chatbot card.
- Dashboard only asks you to confirm first, because submission emails stop.
Which Plans Unlock The Modes
Six of the seven modes hold an email back, so they depend on the record being stored. They are available when the product line’s plan includes Data Hub: Website Widgets Business or Agency for the Website Widgets card, AI Chatbot Business or Agency for the AI Chatbot card, and Enterprise by agreement. See Pricing.
On other plans the card shows “Advanced delivery modes need Business+ with active Data Hub storage”, every mode except Instant email is marked Business+ and cannot be selected, and submissions are emailed as they arrive.
Set The Default For A Product Line
- On the Website Widgets or AI Chatbot card, select a mode.
- Wait for Saved at the top of the card. There is no separate save or publish step, and the change applies to the next record.
- If you chose Dashboard only, a dialog asks “Turn on dashboard-only mode?”. Tick the box to confirm that you understand the records will be available in Data Hub, then choose Turn on dashboard-only. Cancel leaves the mode as it was.
Set A Rule For One Channel
Inside each card, below the modes, Channel rules lists every channel that produces records. On the Website Widgets card that is each Contact Form, Feedback and Guided Form channel, shown with its widget. On the AI Chatbot card it is one AI Escalation row for each assistant connected to a widget.
- Find the channel in the list. Use Previous and Next if the list runs over several pages.
- Open its menu and choose a mode. The first option, Use default, follows the mode set on the card.
- Wait for Saved under the menu.
A channel rule overrides the card’s default for that channel only. For example, keep the card on Daily digest and set your main Contact Form to Instant email, so sales enquiries still arrive at once.
Where New Records Still Show Up
- In Data Hub, on the Records tab. See Records And Submissions.
- In the dashboard’s Notifications menu, where each stored form submission is listed for the Owner and Admins.
- At the notification address set for the form or website, whenever the mode sends an email. The mode does not change who receives it.
If Emails Stop Or Keep Arriving
- No emails for one form: check its row under Channel rules. A rule there overrides the card.
- No emails for a whole product line: check the mode on its card. Every mode except Instant email holds some or all emails back.
- Emails keep arriving after you chose another mode: check the plan. Below Business, submissions are always emailed.
- A mode shows “Could not save”: select it again. If the row shows “Business+ storage is required”, the plan does not include Data Hub.
If no notification arrives at all, in any mode, see I Am Not Receiving Form Submissions.
