The Widget Shows But A Channel Is Missing
A channel appears on your site only after it is published, switched on and included in your Website Widgets plan. Check its state on the Channels tab, then reload your page.
Your launcher appears and the widget opens, but a channel you set up is not in the list. The most likely cause is a channel that exists in the dashboard as a draft and was never published. The Channels tab shows the state of every channel, so start there.
Check The State Of The Channel
In the dashboard, open Website Widgets, choose the website, and open the Channels tab. In the Channel Builder list, each channel carries a state label and, under its name, a line that says what visitors get.
| State | Line Under The Name | What It Means |
|---|---|---|
| Draft | “Draft · not on your widget yet” | The channel has never been published. Publish it with the steps below. |
| Live, or Managed on an Enterprise plan | “Published on your widget” | The channel is published. Go to the checks for a live channel further down. |
| Live · edited | “Live · draft changes not published yet” | Visitors see the last published version. Open Edit and click Publish changes. |
| Off | “Turned off · not on your widget” | The channel was published, then switched off. Turn the switch on its row back on. If the switch cannot be used because the draft has unpublished edits, open Edit and click Publish changes. |
| Preview only | “Preview available”, with the plan that includes it | Your plan can set this channel up but cannot publish it. |
| Temporarily limited | “Temporarily unavailable on your widget” | The channel is paused until the usage period resets or you upgrade. |
Publish A Draft Channel
- Click Edit on the channel’s row.
- Fill in everything the channel needs. A WhatsApp channel, for example, needs a Phone number and an Agent name.
- Check that Enabled in draft is switched on.
- Click Save as Draft. Nothing on your site changes yet.
- Click Publish changes.
Publish changes cannot be clicked while the editor holds unsaved changes or while Enabled in draft is off. Save first, then publish.
When Your Plan Does Not Include The Channel
A row marked Preview only carries an Upgrade link. You can set the channel up and save it, but your current Website Widgets plan does not publish it.
| Website Widgets Plan | Channels You Can Publish |
|---|---|
| Free | WhatsApp, Telegram, Messenger, Instagram DM, Find Us / Maps, Leave a Review, Custom Link |
| Starter | Everything on Free, plus Contact Form, Feedback, FAQ, Business Hours, Book Appointment, Resources |
| Pro, Business and Agency | Everything on Starter, plus Services & Pricing, Offers, Guided Form |
On Enterprise, the channels follow your agreement. Some settings follow the plan too: more than one WhatsApp or Telegram agent starts on Starter, more than one Maps location on Pro, and a second channel of the same type on one widget on Business. All of this follows your Website Widgets plan, not your AI Chatbot plan. I Cannot Add Another Channel covers the limits on adding channels.
Flidu checks the plan each time the widget loads. A channel that needs a higher plan than the workspace has now, or that uses a setting the current plan does not include, is left out of the widget, even if it was published earlier on a higher plan. The Channels tab can still label that channel Live. To confirm what the widget serves now, open the Overview tab: a Channel Builder channel that visitors get is listed under Channels with an On label.
See Pricing for the full comparison, and A Channel Is Locked Or Marked Premium for the locked states.
If The Channel Is Live But Still Missing
- Reload the page. Published changes show the next time a page loads. A page that is already open does not update itself.
- Check which widget is on your site. Each widget has its own channels and its own snippet. If the website has several widgets, compare the
data-widgetvalue in your page source with the snippet on the Install tab of the widget you edited. - Check whether the whole Contact side is hidden. If the widget opens with Ask AI only, a published rule on the Visibility & Targeting tab is hiding the Contact side for this page, device or visit. Rules hide every Contact channel together, never one channel on its own. See My Widget Shows On The Wrong Pages.
- Look for a greyed-out row. When the month’s visitors pass the point where premium Website Widgets features are temporarily unavailable, the Channels tab shows the notice “Premium channels are temporarily limited.” Contact Form, Feedback, FAQ, Business Hours, Book Appointment, Services & Pricing, Resources, Offers and Guided Form stay in the list but cannot be opened, and WhatsApp and Telegram keep their first agent only. See My Widget Reached Its Monthly Visitor Limit.
- Check the items inside the channel. Agents, locations, review platforms and list items each have their own switch in the channel editor. An item that is switched off is not shown. Switch it on, save, then publish.
- Scroll the list. Channels appear in the order set on the Channels tab, and a long list scrolls inside the panel. If you dragged a channel to a new position, the new order stays a draft until you click Publish order.
What A Correct Result Looks Like
The row reads Live with “Published on your widget”, the Overview tab counts the channel under Live channels, and after a reload the channel appears in the widget on your site. Open it once from the live page to confirm it does what you expect.
