What Flidu Is (And What It Is Not)
Flidu puts one widget on your website that can offer contact channels, AI answers from your own content, or both. Here is what each part does and where it stops.
Flidu adds one widget to your website from one script. The widget can show Contact, a list of ways to reach you; Ask AI, an assistant that answers from your own content; or both in a single panel with two tabs. This page explains each part, how the two halves are sold, and what Flidu deliberately does not do.
One Script, One Widget
Each widget has its own install snippet: a single script tag that carries that widget’s key. You copy it from the widget’s Install tab and paste it into your site once. After that you manage everything from the dashboard. The script asks Flidu for the widget’s current settings each time a page loads, so published changes appear on the next page load with no change to the snippet.
Visitors see a launcher in the bottom-right or bottom-left corner of the page. Selecting it opens the panel.
Contact: The Website Widgets Product Line
Contact is a list of channels you build in the Channel Builder, on a widget’s Channels tab. There are sixteen channel types, grouped the way the dashboard groups them:
- Direct Contact: WhatsApp, Contact Form, Feedback.
- Social & Links: Messenger, Instagram DM, Telegram, Find Us / Maps, Leave a Review, Custom Link.
- Content: FAQ, Business Hours, Services & Pricing, Resources.
- Conversion: Book Appointment, Offers, Guided Form.
Every channel is saved as a draft first and reaches visitors only after you publish it. Which channels you can publish depends on your Website Widgets plan. On Free that is WhatsApp, Telegram, Messenger, Instagram DM, Find Us / Maps, Leave a Review and a Custom Link. Contact Form, Feedback, FAQ, Business Hours, Book Appointment and Resources publish from Starter; Services & Pricing, Offers and Guided Form from Pro. A channel your plan does not include can still be built and is marked Preview only.
Ask AI: The AI Chatbot Product Line
Ask AI is an assistant you create under AI Chatbots. It answers visitor questions from sources you add: a Website URL, a Sitemap, a Manual URL List, uploaded text files, pasted text and, on paid AI Chatbot plans, Manual Q&A pairs. Flidu indexes the text of those sources and draws on it when a visitor asks a question. The assistant is instructed to answer from that content and to say when it does not have enough to go on.
You decide what it reads and when. Indexing starts only when you press Start indexing on a source, and a source is read again only when you press Recrawl. With Source Cards switched on, an answer can be followed by up to three sources, shown by title and linked to the page where there is one.
Two Product Lines, Two Plans
Website Widgets and AI Chatbot are separate product lines. Each has its own plan (Free, Starter, Pro, Business, Agency or Enterprise), its own limits and its own usage counters, so a workspace can be on Website Widgets Pro and AI Chatbot Free at the same time. Contact follows the Website Widgets plan and Ask AI follows the AI Chatbot plan, even when both sit in the same widget.
When both lines are on paid plans you qualify for Bundle & Save, which changes the price only. It never merges limits, usage or features. Paid plans are billed through Dodo Payments. Current plans are on the Pricing page, and Plans Per Product Line explains how the two lines sit side by side.
Everything lives in a workspace. Each workspace has its own websites, widgets, AI assistants, team, plans and usage, and a plan in one workspace does nothing for another.
What Flidu Is Not
- Not live chat. Nobody joins a conversation inside the widget, and nothing is transferred to a human agent in real time. A WhatsApp, Telegram, Messenger or Instagram DM row sends the visitor to that service, and any conversation happens there. A Contact Form sends its message to your notification email. What a visitor typed into Ask AI does not follow them into another channel.
- Not an assistant that reads everything by itself. Ask AI works from the sources you add and index. It does not index a site on its own and it does not re-read a source until you ask it to.
- Not a booking system. Book Appointment sends visitors to the booking page you already use.
- Not a separate phone or email channel. There is no Phone or Email channel type. A Custom Link can hold a web address, a phone number or an email address, so a call button or an email button is a Custom Link.
- Not a password to remember. You sign in with a 6-digit code sent to your email, or with Google. A passkey or an authenticator app can be added later in Profile Settings.
- Not one plan for everything. A paid plan on one product line does not unlock features or raise limits on the other.
