Privacy-Safe Analytics
Flidu analytics count what happens in your widget as totals, not as individual visitors. See what is recorded, what is left out, and where visitor-typed data lives.
Flidu analytics answer one question: how is the widget being used? They count opens, clicks, completed Contact actions and Ask AI questions as totals. They do not follow individual visitors around your site. This page sets out what is recorded, what is left out, and where the details visitors type are kept.
What The Widget Records
For Website Widgets, the widget reports four kinds of event:
- Widget opened and Contact tab opened, each counted once per page load.
- Channel clicked, each time a visitor presses a channel.
- Contact action completed, when a form is sent or an outbound channel link is pressed.
An event carries the address of the page without anything after a ? or #, and a coarse device class of mobile, tablet or desktop taken from the browser window width. A click or a completed action also carries the channel it belongs to. That is what feeds the tiles and cards under Analytics in the dashboard sidebar, described in Website Widgets Analytics.
These detailed events are collected while the workspace is on a paid Website Widgets plan. On Free, the dashboard shows the monthly visitor counter only, and activity from a Free period is not filled in later.
What Is Left Out
- No cookies and no browser storage. The widget script does not set cookies or write to local storage on your visitors’ devices. What it needs to remember lasts only until the page is closed or reloaded.
- No visitor details in these events. Names, email addresses, phone numbers and message text are not part of a Website Widgets analytics event.
- No per-visitor view. The dashboard shows aggregate counts. There is no visitor list, no visitor timeline and no recording of what a person did on your site.
- Clicks are counts, not people. Channel clicks and completed actions are event totals. They do not measure unique visitors, sales or conversion rates. For WhatsApp and other messaging channels a click is the tap; Flidu does not see the conversation that follows.
- No network addresses or exact locations. Neither is shown anywhere in the dashboard.
The monthly visitor figure works the same way. It is a count against your plan allowance, never a list of people. Widget Limits And Visitor Counting explains what counts as a visitor.
Country Data Stays At Country Level
A visitor’s country is read only for a widget that has Country Targeting published, and it is kept as a country and nothing finer, so no city or region. On Website Widgets Business and higher, the Country Breakdown card in Analytics shows it as an aggregated share of widget activity by visitor country. The card says so itself: individual visitors are not shown.
Country Targeting works at the same level. A rule shows or hides the widget by country, and visitors are never shown which country was detected or why a widget did or did not appear.
Ask AI Questions And Chat Logs
AI Chatbot analytics count questions, chat sessions, answer outcomes, Source Card clicks, suggested-question clicks and feedback. What you can read depends on the AI Chatbot plan:
- Free shows usage counters only: AI messages and chat sessions for the month. You see how often the assistant was used, not what was asked.
- Starter and higher add the analytics overview, including Top Questions, and Chat Logs.
- Business and higher add the AI Data Hub, where conversations are kept as records you can export.
A chat log shows the conversation, the answer status, the sources used and any feedback. It is not attached to a named person: the only personal details in it are the ones a visitor chose to type. If a visitor leaves a name and email in the follow-up form that Ask AI can offer on AI Chatbot Starter and higher, those details reach you by email, and from AI Chatbot Business they are also kept as a record in the AI Data Hub. In the Top Questions list on the Analytics page, email addresses and phone numbers that visitors typed are replaced with [email] and [phone]. Chat Logs and AI Data Hub records show the conversation text itself, so treat them as visitor data.
Form Submissions Are Not Analytics
A Contact Form, Feedback Form or Guided Form submission is something a visitor decided to send you. It contains what they typed and the page it was sent from. It reaches you as a notification email, and from Website Widgets Business it is also stored in the Data Hub. Analytics records only that a Contact action was completed, not what the submission said. See Records And Submissions.
Google Analytics 4 Is Opt-In
Flidu never installs Google Analytics. The Google Analytics 4 card, under Visibility & Targeting in a widget, is off until you configure and publish it, which needs Website Widgets Pro or higher. When it is on, the widget hands one event, named by you, to the Google tag already on your page. The event says what kind of action happened and on which channel type. No visitor name, email, phone number or message text is sent.
Who Sees The Numbers
Analytics belong to the workspace and are visible only to its members after they sign in. Exports of stored records are limited to the workspace Owner and Admins. Website Widgets and AI Chatbot analytics stay separate, each following its own plan.
