Widget Limits And Visitor Counting
How Flidu counts websites, published and draft widget slots, and monthly unique visitors for Website Widgets, where to see your usage, and what each plan allows.
A Website Widgets plan sets four limits for a workspace: websites, published widgets, draft widgets and monthly unique visitors. All four are counted for the workspace as a whole, pooled across every website in it. AI Chatbot has its own separate limits, and Bundle & Save changes the price only, so it never merges the two.
Limits By Plan
| Website Widgets Plan | Websites | Published Widgets | Draft Widgets | Monthly Visitors |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | 1 | 1 | 2 | 1,000 |
| Starter | 1 | 10 | 5 | 15,000 |
| Pro | 10 | 50 | 25 | 50,000 |
| Business | 25 | 100 | 50 | 100,000 |
| Agency | 100 to 1,000 | 1,000 to 10,000 | 500 to 5,000 | 500,000 to 3,000,000 |
| Enterprise | Custom | Custom | Custom | Custom |
Agency is sold as presets, and the preset you choose sets the exact numbers inside those ranges. For prices and the full comparison, see Pricing.
How Widget Slots Are Counted
- Every widget is either Published or Draft and uses one slot of that kind. The two counts are separate.
- Slots are counted across all websites in the workspace, not per website.
- A website’s first widget is tagged default. It cannot be deleted, and once published it cannot be moved to draft, so it keeps a slot for as long as the website exists.
- Changing a widget with Publish or Move to Draft moves it from one count to the other, so the count it is moving into needs a free slot.
- Deleting a widget frees its slot. Switching a website off with Site Status does not: its widgets still count.
- An AI Chatbot installed as Ask AI-only, with no Contact side, uses no Website Widgets slot.
- Channels are not slots. How many channels a widget holds does not change the count.
When you ask for a slot that is not free, a Widget limit reached dialog shows the kind of slot you requested with Used, Limit and Remaining. See Create And Manage Multiple Widgets for the actions that use slots.
How Monthly Visitors Are Counted
A visitor is counted when a page on your site loads a published widget that has at least one Contact channel to show. The visitor does not have to open the widget. The plan card in Billing names the figure Monthly Unique Website Widget Visitors, and unique is the important word:
- Each unique visitor is counted once per calendar month for the whole workspace. More page views, a second widget, or another website in the same workspace do not add to the count.
- The count is an estimate of unique visitors, not a list of people. The same person can be counted again, for example when they come back on a different device.
- The month is a calendar month in UTC. The count starts again on the first day of the next month, and the dashboard shows the reset date.
- Your own visits to the live site count like anyone else’s. The Live Preview in the dashboard does not.
Some page loads are not counted at all:
- A draft widget, or any widget on a website that is switched off.
- A widget with no live channel.
- A page where the widget’s Contact side is hidden by one of your visibility or country rules.
- An Ask AI-only install. Ask AI usage follows your AI Chatbot plan instead.
Where To See Your Usage
- Billing. The Website Widgets plan card shows monthly visitors against the allowance, the percentage used and the reset date, with tiles for Websites, Published and Drafts. The Website Widgets usage card lists the same four counts as bars.
- A website’s Overview tab. The Website Widgets card shows Websites, Published Widgets, Draft Widgets and Monthly Visitors for the workspace, and how many published and draft widgets this website has.
- Analytics. The Website Widgets view shows the visitor counter on every plan, including Free. See Usage Counters And Limits.
What Happens As You Approach The Visitor Allowance
| Monthly Visitors Used | What Changes |
|---|---|
| 80% | The dashboard warns that you are approaching your monthly visitor limit. |
| 100% | The dashboard marks the workspace as over its monthly visitor limit. The widget keeps working. |
| 120% | Detailed Website Widgets analytics pause until the count resets or you upgrade. The gap is not filled in afterwards. Visitor counting continues. |
| 150% | Premium Website Widgets features are temporarily unavailable until the count resets or you upgrade. Basic channels keep working. |
These thresholds apply to Free, Starter, Pro, Business and Agency; Enterprise thresholds are custom. At the last stage the Channels tab shows a notice listing the channels affected. Ask AI follows the AI Chatbot plan, so the Website Widgets visitor allowance does not limit it. Usage Limits, Grace Thresholds, And What Happens Next covers each stage, and My Widget Reached Its Monthly Visitor Limit covers what to do.
If The Numbers Look Wrong
- Visitors look higher than widget opens. Visitors are counted when a page loads the widget, not when someone opens it, and the figure covers every website in the workspace.
- Visitors look lower than your page views. One person browsing many pages in a month is one visitor.
- The visitor figure shows a dash. Monthly visitor usage is still being calculated. Refresh a little later.
- Widget limit reached, but this website has few widgets. Slots are shared by all websites in the workspace. Check the others for widgets you no longer need.
- A paused website still uses slots. That is expected. Delete widgets you will not use again to free their slots.
