Page-Specific Widgets For Campaigns

Run a separate widget on a landing page or campaign, with its own channels, wording and snippet, and show it only on the pages, traffic or dates you choose.

A campaign page often needs different contact options from the rest of your site: one WhatsApp number for the sales team, a Guided Form for quote requests, an Offers channel for the promotion. In Flidu you do that with a second widget. Every widget has its own channels, public title, appearance and install snippet, and you decide where each one loads.

Create The Campaign Widget

  1. Open Website Widgets in the dashboard sidebar, open your website, and find the Website Widgets card on the Overview tab.
  2. To start from your current setup, select your main widget and click Duplicate. To start clean, open the widget selector and click Add Widget.
  3. Give it an Internal Name you will recognise later, such as the campaign name, and a Public Title for visitors.
  4. Choose the draft option (Duplicate as Draft or Create as Draft) so nothing shows on your site while you build.
  5. On the Channels tab, set up the channels this campaign needs. For each one, click Save as Draft, then Publish changes.
  6. Back on the Overview tab, click Publish on the campaign widget when it is ready.

A duplicate keeps your appearance settings, but its channels arrive as drafts. A Contact Form in the campaign widget has its own Notification email, so campaign enquiries can go to a different inbox from your main form. Create And Manage Multiple Widgets lists everything a duplicate copies.

You Need A Free Published SlotEach published widget uses one published slot. Website Widgets Free has one, which your first widget already holds, so running a second widget live needs Starter or higher. See Pricing.

Method One: Install The Snippet On Campaign Pages Only

This works on any plan that gives you the second published slot. Select the campaign widget, open its Install tab, click Copy, and paste the snippet immediately before the closing body tag of the campaign page only. Each widget has its own snippet, so check the selector shows the campaign widget before you copy.

If your main widget’s snippet is added to every page, take it off the campaign page or use method two. Otherwise both widgets load there. Where To Paste The Script covers placement.

Method Two: Use Page Targeting With Both Snippets Site-Wide

Page Targeting is included from Website Widgets Pro. It lets both snippets stay on every page while each widget decides where it shows. You find it on the widget’s Visibility & Targeting tab, and its control is labelled Where Should This Widget Appear?

  1. Select the campaign widget and open Page Targeting. Choose Only Matching, click Add Condition, and enter a rule such as Starts with /spring-sale.
  2. Select your main widget and open Page Targeting. Choose Hide on Matching and add the same rule.
  3. On each widget, click Save Changes, then Publish Changes. Visitors are affected by a saved rule only once it is published.

Rules compare the page path only, which always starts with a slash. They do not look at the domain or at anything after a question mark. A page matches when any one of the rules matches. See Show Widgets By Page Or Device.

Narrow It By Traffic Source Or Dates

  • Traffic Source Targeting (from Pro) shows a widget only to visitors who arrive a certain way. Choose Show Only Matching, then pick a source preset or add a rule such as UTM Campaign is spring-sale. UTM values are read from the address of the page being loaded, so the rule matches on the page a visitor lands on with those values, not on later pages without them. See Traffic-Source Rules.
  • Date Scheduling (from Business) runs the widget inside a date range. Choose Active in Range and set a Start Date and End Date so the campaign widget stops showing when the campaign ends. See Date And Business-Hours Rules.

When several rules are switched on for one widget, all of them have to pass for it to show.

What Visitors See

When the pages or rules do not overlap, a visitor sees one launcher per page: the campaign widget on campaign pages and your main widget everywhere else. If two widgets load on the same page, each draws its own launcher in its own corner, and two set to the same corner sit on top of each other.

A hide rule removes the widget’s Contact side. If Ask AI is live in that widget, the launcher stays and opens Ask AI on its own. To show nothing at all on a page, keep the snippet off that page. Rules are checked when a page loads, so a page that is already open does not change.

Counting And Reporting

  • Visitors are counted once a month for the whole workspace, so someone who sees both widgets is still one visitor. See Widget Limits And Visitor Counting.
  • To compare the two widgets, open Analytics in the sidebar, choose Website Widgets, and pick each widget in the Widget filter. Detailed analytics start on Starter.

When The Campaign Ends

Select the campaign widget and click Move to Draft, which needs a free draft slot. Its snippet then loads nothing, the published slot is free again, and the whole setup is kept for next time. Remove the snippet from the page when you can. Pause Or Unpublish A Widget covers the options.

If It Does Not Behave As Expected

  • Both launchers appear on the campaign page. The widgets overlap there. Check that the hide rule on the main widget is published, or that its snippet is not on that page.
  • The campaign widget shows nowhere. The widget is still a draft, its snippet is missing from the page, or its Only Matching rule does not match the page path. Publish the widget and check the rule.
  • The campaign widget shows on every page that carries its snippet. Its Page Targeting rule is saved but not published. The card then reads "Draft settings are saved but not live yet". Click Publish Changes.
  • The launcher opens with nothing to choose. The widget is published but its channels are still drafts. Publish at least one channel.
  • A rule matches on the wrong pages. Contains matches anywhere in the path. Use Starts with or Exactly matches for a tighter rule.
  • Publish or Publish Changes cannot be clicked. A targeting setting your plan does not include can be saved but not published. Check the plan, and switch off any card on the tab that is marked Preview only.
