WhatsApp chat button, built into your website widget
Add WhatsApp as a configurable Contact action inside Flidu. Show one WhatsApp contact, offer multiple WhatsApp contacts, add prefilled messages, control how availability is displayed, and place WhatsApp beside forms, FAQ, resources, offers, booking links, and Ask AI.
What is Flidu’s WhatsApp website widget?
The WhatsApp channel is a Website Widgets Contact action. It appears inside the visitor-facing widget as a clean row. When a visitor chooses it, Flidu opens the configured WhatsApp destination with the prefilled message where available. It is one direct WhatsApp option, or a multi-contact list from Website Widgets Starter, and the conversation always continues in WhatsApp.
How the WhatsApp chat button appears on your website
Visitors do not need to hunt for a tiny floating WhatsApp logo. They open the Flidu widget and see WhatsApp beside other next actions — with an icon tile, a clear title, and one supporting line: your description, or the displayed availability when no description is set.
One destination, one tap. The line under the title is your description, or displayed availability such as “Available 24 hours” or “Mon–Fri · 9:00–17:00” when you leave the description empty. The click opens WhatsApp.
Multiple Agents mode shows more than one WhatsApp option, each with its own label and availability display, inside the same widget.
Configure WhatsApp from the Channel Builder
WhatsApp is set up like other Contact and content channels. Reorder it among your actions, duplicate it into separate instances on Business, turn it on or off per widget, and see published channels in the dashboard’s Live Preview.
A simple WhatsApp chat button for your website
For websites that only need one WhatsApp chat button, Single Agent mode keeps the widget simple and fast. Add the number and an agent name, write the description visitors read under the WhatsApp title, and optionally add a prefilled message so the chat opens with a useful first line.
Multiple WhatsApp contacts for teams, products, or regions
Multiple Agents mode lets the widget show more than one WhatsApp contact — useful when different enquiries should start with different destinations, such as Sales, Product Questions, Admissions, Region 1, or Booking Desk. It is included from Website Widgets Starter: up to 2 WhatsApp contacts on Starter, 5 on Pro, 20 on Business, and 100 on Agency. Free is Single Agent only.
A WhatsApp widget with custom hours and displayed availability
Displayed Availability controls what visitors see next to a WhatsApp contact. It sets visitor expectations on the widget before the WhatsApp conversation opens.
Availability is display information. The WhatsApp conversation still happens in WhatsApp.
Fine-tune availability per WhatsApp contact
For multiple WhatsApp contacts, a shared schedule keeps setup simple. If one contact needs a different visible availability, an override shows a different availability line for that contact only.
Schedules and overrides change displayed availability only. The WhatsApp conversation still happens in WhatsApp.
More than one WhatsApp channel on the same widget
A basic WhatsApp button usually gives one destination. From Website Widgets Business, Flidu’s flexible channel system supports separate WhatsApp channel instances — different WhatsApp actions for different purposes, without turning the widget into a heavy messaging system.
Use one WhatsApp chat button for simple sites, or separate WhatsApp actions when different pages, products, teams, or campaigns need their own starting point.
Different pages can invite different WhatsApp conversations
A homepage prompt does not have to match a pricing, product, course, property, clinic, or campaign page. With separate widgets, different pages can show different WhatsApp titles and prefilled messages.
Each widget’s WhatsApp channel has its own title, description, and prefilled message. To vary them by page, use a separate widget for those pages with Page Targeting (from Website Widgets Pro). Example URLs: services.example/pricing · courses.example/data-analytics · property.example/listing-204
WhatsApp beside forms, FAQ, resources, offers, and Ask AI
Visitors do not all need the same next action. WhatsApp is fast and direct. Forms are better when structured information is needed. FAQ and Resources help visitors self-serve. Offers and Services & Pricing guide interest. Ask AI can answer first, and WhatsApp stays available on the Contact tab — all inside the same visitor-facing widget, in the channel order you set.
Ask AI can answer first, with WhatsApp on the Contact tab
When Contact + Ask AI are configured together, Ask AI answers questions from configured website sources. If the visitor wants direct contact, the Contact tab sits beside Ask AI in the same widget, with WhatsApp in its channel list.
WhatsApp settings owners can configure
WhatsApp click intent, without storing WhatsApp conversations
Flidu can show the moment a visitor chooses WhatsApp from the widget — WhatsApp clicks from Website Widgets Starter, top pages from Pro, clicks per channel instance from Business, and Contact actions after Ask AI in AI Chatbot analytics. Analytics and Data Hub stay product-line specific.
Flidu counts WhatsApp clicks from Website Widgets Starter. The WhatsApp conversation itself happens in WhatsApp — Flidu does not store or analyze the message thread.
More than a basic WhatsApp button for your website
Many simple button tools stop at one link. Flidu is designed for a fuller website contact experience.
Practical WhatsApp widget setups
Each setup pairs a WhatsApp configuration with neighboring channels, a prefilled message, and what the owner learns from Website Widgets analytics — top pages from Pro, per-channel filtering from Business.
