Resources widget, built into your website
Add a resource library inside the Flidu visitor-facing widget. Share guides, articles, videos, downloads, and helpful links with pinned resources, custom icons, and open-in-new-tab links. Resources publishes on Website Widgets Starter and above.
What is Flidu’s Resources website widget?
Resources is a Website Widgets channel. Visitors open it to browse links, guides, articles, videos, and downloads inside the visitor-facing widget. Each resource has a type, title, URL, short description, icon, visibility, and order. Owners curate everything from the dashboard, and it can sit on its own or beside other Contact actions — so visitors can find the right guide, brochure, or page before they contact or book.
Resources opens configured URLs or existing files. Flidu does not provide native resource file hosting, file storage, permission management, or download-management infrastructure for this channel.
How the Resources widget appears on your website
Visitors open Resources from the channel list, then browse a clean list. Pinned items come first, and each row shows the title with its short description, or the resource type when there is no description.
Curate Resources from the dashboard
Set the channel label, then add, edit, reorder, pin, and enable resources. A draft summary shows how many resources are visible before you publish.
Add each resource in a few clean fields
Pick a type, set the title and URL, add a one-line description, and choose an icon. Everything stays consistent across the shelf without touching your website pages.
Organize by type: links, guides, articles, videos, and downloads
Resource Type sets the label and default icon so visitors scan the shelf quickly. It does not change billing, AI Chatbot entitlements, file hosting, or download behavior.
Place Resources beside your other widget channels
Resources is part of Website Widgets. Reorder it, enable or disable it, and preview the result — set it near FAQ for longer reads, near Services & Pricing for brochures and case studies, or near Guided Form for a download-and-request flow.
Show a full resource shelf inside one channel
One Resources channel can hold several resource items. Visitors open Resources and see a clean list, then tap any item to open its link. Each resource has its own type, title, URL, description, icon, and order.
Use more than one Resources channel in the same widget
Beyond a single shelf, Website Widgets Business lets one widget hold several Resources channels — so it can group resources by intent: Start Here, Pricing Guides, Product Resources, or Case Studies, each with its own title, list, and order.
This is separate channel setup — not a document management system, CMS, or knowledge-base platform.
Use different resource libraries on different pages
One website doesn’t need one generic list everywhere. With more than one published widget (Starter and above), each page can show its own resource library and surrounding actions.
Each row is a separate published widget. Example URLs: example.com/pricing · example.com/services · example.com/courses · example.com/prep
Resources beside FAQ, Services & Pricing, Offers, and Ask AI
Resources is part of the visitor journey, not a disconnected links page. Visitors can read FAQ, check Services & Pricing, view Offers, use Guided Form, message on WhatsApp, or open Resources when they need a guide, video, or download — all inside one visitor-facing widget, in the channel order you set.
Ask AI can answer first, while Resources gives the right next read
Ask AI answers from configured sources; Resources stays available when visitors want a guide, article, video, brochure, or download. They appear together inside one visitor-facing widget experience.
Resources settings owners can configure
See how often visitors use your resources
From Website Widgets Starter, Analytics counts how often visitors open your Resources channel and press a resource link. Pro adds a Top Pages list, and Business adds a filter for a single channel. When Ask AI shares the widget, AI Chatbot analytics also count Contact actions taken after a question. Analytics and Data Hub stay product-line specific.
Resources analytics count opens and link presses, not which resource was chosen. They do not track file storage, permissioned downloads, document management, or exact visitor identity.
More than a basic links section for your website
A footer link list is easy to miss and hard to shape by page. The Resources channel lives in the widget, updates from the dashboard, and connects to the visitor’s next action.
Practical Resources widget setups
Each setup pairs a Resources library with example resources, neighboring channels, and what the owner learns.
