Business hours widget, built into your website
Add opening hours directly inside the Flidu visitor-facing widget. Show open days, closed days, Open 24/7 or custom schedules, visitor-facing notes, and page-specific hours beside Contact Form, WhatsApp, FAQ, Resources, booking links, and Ask AI.
What is Flidu’s Business Hours website widget?
Business Hours is a Website Widgets channel, included from Starter. It appears inside the visitor-facing widget as a row, and opens a weekly schedule showing the days you’re open, your hours, and the days you’re closed. Owners configure the schedule from the dashboard. It can run on its own, in a Contact-only widget, or beside Ask AI in a Contact + Ask AI widget — useful when visitors need timing information before contacting, booking, visiting, or asking a question.
How the Business Hours button appears on your website
Visitors open Business Hours from the channel list and see a clear weekly schedule with closed days marked and today highlighted — all without leaving the page. Closed days stay visibly clear, time ranges stay tidy, and the layout stays compact on mobile.
Displayed hours are informational. Conversations and follow-up happen through the configured contact action.
Configure Business Hours from the dashboard
Choose an Availability Mode — a simple Open 24/7 schedule or fully custom weekly hours. The dashboard preview shows the schedule the way visitors will see it, and an optional note sits below it.
Open 24/7 mode for always-open businesses
Open 24/7 mode is for businesses, services, pages, or resources that want to show continuous availability without entering day-by-day time ranges. Every day then shows a full-day time range in the widget.
Custom hours for weekdays, weekends, and closed days
Configure each day from the dashboard: open or closed, start and end time, or a full 24-hour day. Quick actions speed up common patterns, and clear helper text explains the rules.
Add a helpful note below the schedule
Business Hours can show an optional note below the weekly schedule. Hours appear exactly as you enter them, so use the note to name your time zone when visitors come from other regions. It’s display information for visitors, not a scheduling engine.
Place Business Hours beside your other widget channels
Business Hours is part of Website Widgets, so you control where it sits in the channel order. Put it before Contact Form to set expectations, near Book Appointment for appointment-led pages, or beside Ask AI in a Contact + Ask AI widget.
Use more than one Business Hours channel in the same widget
A basic hours section gives one generic schedule. On Website Widgets Business and above, one Flidu widget can show different hours for different visitor intents — each with its own title, mode, schedule, and note.
Use different Business Hours experiences on different pages
One website doesn’t need one generic schedule everywhere. Each widget has its own Business Hours and surrounding actions, so each page can show the hours that matter there — office hours on contact pages, sales hours on pricing, reception hours on service pages. Page Targeting starts on Website Widgets Pro.
Holiday Hours is a Business Hours channel you set up and change by hand — not an automatic holiday calendar. Example URLs: example.com/contact · clinic.example/service-name · store.example/location
Business Hours beside Contact Form, WhatsApp, booking links, and Ask AI
Business Hours works best as part of the visitor journey, not buried in the footer. Visitors can check hours before contacting, then send a structured request, message on WhatsApp, tap a Custom Link to call or email, open an external booking link, read FAQ or Resources, or ask Ask AI — in the channel order you set.
Ask AI can answer questions while Business Hours stays close by
Ask AI belongs to AI Chatbot and Business Hours belongs to Website Widgets, but both can appear inside one visitor-facing widget experience. Ask AI answers from configured sources; Business Hours gives visitors a predictable, owner-configured schedule for “Are you open?” moments.
The schedule is owner-configured. Ask AI does not change Business Hours or update the schedule, and it can answer questions about hours only when they appear in a source it has indexed. The two sit on separate tabs of the same widget, and Business Hours does not create appointment availability or staff routing.
Business Hours settings owners can configure
See how often visitors check your hours
From Website Widgets Starter, Analytics counts how often visitors open the Business Hours channel. Pro adds a Top Pages list, and Business adds a filter for a single channel. Analytics and Data Hub stay product-line specific.
Figures shown here are illustrative. Flidu reports aggregate counts, does not show visitor identity, and does not report views outside opening hours or which action followed.
More than a basic opening-hours section for your website
A footer hours line sits in one place for the whole site. The Business Hours channel lives inside the widget, can differ from page to page, and sits beside the next action.
Practical Business Hours widget setups
Each setup pairs an hours instance with a schedule idea, neighboring channels, and what the owner can see in Analytics.
