My Teammate Did Not Get Their Invitation
Check Pending Invitations on the Team page, confirm the address, send the invitation again, and ask your teammate to open the newest email while signed in with the invited address.
An invitation is an email with a personal link, sent to the address you typed in Invite Member. Your teammate joins by opening that link, so the email has to reach them. When it has not arrived, the cause is usually one of four things: the invitation was never sent, it went to a different address, their mail service filed it somewhere else, or it has expired or been revoked. You need to be the Owner or an Admin of the workspace to check.
Check That The Invitation Exists
Open Team in the sidebar and look under Pending Invitations. Every invitation that has been sent and not yet accepted has a row there, with its role, a badge and its expiry.
| What You See | What It Means | What To Do |
|---|---|---|
| No row for the person | No invitation is waiting. It was never sent, or it has already been accepted. | Look for them under Active Members. If they are not there, send an invitation with Invite Member. |
| Pending | The invitation is valid and waiting. | Check the address, then follow the sections below. |
| Expiring Soon | The invitation is valid but close to its expiry. | Send it again so your teammate gets a fresh link. |
| Expired | Seven days passed without it being accepted. | Send a new invitation with Invite Member. |
| Revoked | Someone cancelled it. | Send a new invitation with Invite Member. |
When you send an invitation, the dialog ends on Invitation Sent. If that screen says the invitation is active but the email could not be delivered, the invitation exists and only the email failed. Send it again from the pending list.
Check The Address
Each row shows the start of the invited address and its domain. Compare both with the address your teammate gave you.
- If there is a typo, or the invitation went to an address they do not use, open the menu on the row and choose Revoke Invite. That frees the seat. Then send a new invitation to the right address.
- Use the address your teammate signs in to Flidu with. An invitation can be accepted only by someone signed in with the exact address it was sent to.
Ask Your Teammate To Search Their Mailbox
- Search for the name of your workspace. The subject of the email says who invited them and names the workspace.
- Look in spam, junk and any tabs or folders their mail app sorts messages into.
- On a work mailbox, their email administrator can check whether messages from Flidu are being held before they arrive.
Send The Invitation Again
- Open Team and find the row under Pending Invitations.
- Open the menu at the end of the row and choose the first item, which sends the invitation again.
- Wait for the confirmation Invitation resent. at the top of the page.
Sending again emails a new link and cancels the old one. If your teammate later finds the first email, its link no longer works, so ask them to open the newest one. If you send invitations many times in a short period, Flidu pauses further sends for a while. Wait, then send once.
If Invite Member Is Greyed Out
Every seat in the workspace is taken. The Owner counts as one seat, and each pending invitation holds one until it is accepted, expires or is revoked. The Seat Usage card at the top of the Team page shows the count. A workspace on Free or Starter has one seat, which the Owner uses, so nobody can be invited until either product line is on Pro or higher.
- Revoke an invitation you no longer need.
- Ask the Owner to remove a member who has left.
- Move the workspace to a plan with more seats. Seats by plan are listed in Invite Teammates And Roles.
If The Email Arrived But The Link Does Not Work
The invitation page tells your teammate what is wrong. Ask them what it says.
| What Your Teammate Sees | What To Do |
|---|---|
| Sign in to accept, with a Sign In and Return button | They sign in with the invited address and are brought back to the invitation. A sign-in code is sent only to an address that already has a Flidu account. Someone new to Flidu creates an account with that address on the sign-up page first, then opens the link in the invitation email again. |
| Sign in to accept, with a note that the invitation was sent to another address | They are signed in with a different account. They select Sign In to Accept and sign in with the address named on the screen. |
| This invitation has expired | Send a new invitation with Invite Member. |
| This invitation is no longer available | The link is out of date because the invitation was sent again or revoked. They open the newest email, or you send a new invitation. |
| A message that your workspace has no seats left | Free a seat or move to a plan with more seats. The same link works again until the invitation expires. |
| You’re already a member | The invitation was accepted earlier. Open Workspace takes them to the dashboard. |
What A Correct Result Looks Like
Your teammate opens the link and sees You’ve been invited to followed by your workspace name, with the role and the invited email. They select Accept Invitation, and the page confirms that they have joined. On your Team page they move from Pending Invitations to Active Members. The seat count stays the same, because the pending invitation was already holding that seat.
If they have joined but cannot open or change something, see A Teammate Cannot See Or Edit Something.
