Visitor Questions In Data Hub
From AI Chatbot Business, Data Hub keeps each Ask AI conversation as a record: the visitor’s question, whether it was answered, the sources used and any contact details the visitor left.
Every question a visitor asks Ask AI belongs to a conversation. On AI Chatbot Business and above, Data Hub stores those conversations in its AI Chatbot Data Hub section, where you can read what was asked, see how the assistant replied and find the questions it could not answer. This section is separate from Website Widgets records and follows the AI Chatbot plan only.
Plans That Include AI Data Hub
| AI Chatbot Plan | Where You Read Visitor Questions |
|---|---|
| Free | Usage counters only. Questions are not listed. |
| Starter | Analytics, including Chat Logs kept for 30 days. AI Data Hub is locked. |
| Pro | Analytics, including Chat Logs kept for 90 days. AI Data Hub is locked. |
| Business | Analytics and AI Data Hub, with records kept for 12 months. |
| Agency | Analytics and AI Data Hub, with records kept for 24 months. |
| Enterprise | Set by your agreement. |
When the plan does not include it, the section shows Unlock AI Data Hub with an Upgrade AI Chatbot button. If neither product line includes Data Hub, the whole page shows Unlock Data Hub instead. A Website Widgets plan does not unlock the AI section, and Bundle & Save changes the price only. On Starter and Pro, read questions in AI Chatbot Analytics instead.
See The Summary On The Overview Tab
Open Data Hub from the sidebar and stay on the Overview tab. Under AI Chatbot Data Hub, choose a summary window, which opens on the last 30 days, and filter by website, widget or assistant if you need to. The section then shows:
- AI Conversation Summary: four totals for the window, Conversations, Answered, Failed and Unanswered.
- Safe Status Signals: five short notes that say whether unanswered questions, fallback or content-gap signals, visitor feedback, source use and escalations appear in the window.
- Unanswered Question Signals: the questions Ask AI could not answer, each with a count.
- Source Page Signals: the pages Ask AI drew on, each with a count and a link to the page.
Browse Conversations On The Records Tab
Open the Records tab and scroll to AI Chatbot Data Hub. Each row is one conversation and shows the answer status, the visitor’s question, the assistant, the website and widget, and when the conversation was last active. The answer status is one of Answered, No Answer, Failed, Rate Limited, Limit Reached or Pending.
A Signals column adds Sources Used or No Sources, Helpful or Not Helpful when the visitor rated the answer, and Escalation when the visitor started or sent the capture form. Filter the list by website, widget or assistant, and choose Load More AI Conversations to go further back. This list has no date filter: it starts with the newest conversation inside your retention period.
Open A Conversation
Select a row to open the conversation in a panel on the right. It has three parts:
- Conversation Status: the answer status, plus Fallback Present, feedback and Escalation Started or Escalation Submitted when they apply.
- Context: the assistant, website and widget, when the conversation started and was last active, and the Retained until date.
- Read-Only Transcript: each visitor message and each assistant reply in order, with its time. An assistant reply also lists the sources it used, linked to the pages.
Details Visitors Leave With Ask AI
Below the conversations, AI Escalations lists the details visitors chose to leave through Visitor Capture. Each row shows the question, the assistant, the widget and the time. Open one to see the Chosen contact path (Fallback capture, Conversation capture or Contact intent capture), the source page, the visitor’s name and email, the Visitor question and any Captured fallback message.
The panel has Export record, Copy summary, View source page, View widget and View assistant buttons, and a Source page filter above the list narrows it to one page. AI Escalations are shown to the workspace Owner and Admins. To set up the capture form itself, see Capture Questions AI Cannot Answer.
Put The Questions To Work
- Read Unanswered Question Signals regularly. A question that keeps appearing is a page or a source your website is missing. Content Gaps From Visitor Questions explains how to act on it.
- Open conversations marked No Answer or Not Helpful to see the exact wording visitors used.
- As the Owner or an Admin, take records out as CSV with Export Filtered, or tick rows and choose Export selected. See Export Data Hub Records.
If The Section Is Empty
- Check the AI Chatbot plan. Below Business the section is locked, whatever your Website Widgets plan is.
- Check the filters. If you see AI Filters Need Attention or an empty result, choose Reset AI Filters.
- Check that Ask AI is live on your website and that visitors have asked questions. A new assistant shows No AI Conversations Yet until they do.
- Check retention. A conversation is no longer available once its Retained until date passes. See Retention By Plan.
