Crawling & Indexed Pages

I Need To Stop Ask AI Using A Page

Select Ignore on the page in Indexed Content and it stops being used in answers straight away, with no recrawl. Use a pattern to keep a whole section of your site out of future crawls.

When Ask AI answers from a page it should not use, such as an old offer or an internal notice, you do not need to change your website or wait for a crawl. Flidu has three tools, and the right one depends on what you want to take out: one page, a section of your site, or a whole source.

Choose The Right Tool

You Want ToUseTakes Effect
Stop one website pageIgnore on the page’s rowStraight away
Keep a section of your site outA pattern in Included & Ignored PagesOn the next crawl
Stop using a file, pasted text or Manual Q&ARemove on the source cardStraight away
Stop using everything from one website sourceRemove on the source cardStraight away

All three are on the assistant’s Data Sources tab, and the workspace Owner and Admins can use them.

Ignore One Page Right Now

  1. In the dashboard, open AI Chatbots and choose your assistant.
  2. Open the Data Sources tab and scroll to Indexed Content.
  3. Select the Website Pages filter to shorten the list, then find the page. View opens it in a new tab so you can confirm it is the right one.
  4. Select Ignore on its row.

Flidu confirms with “Page ignored. It won’t be used in answers.” and the row changes to Ignored. There is no recrawl to wait for. Ignore works on every AI Chatbot plan, with no limit on the number of pages, and it does nothing to the page on your own website.

Ignored Pages Still CountAn ignored page keeps its place in the assistant’s indexed-pages allowance, so ignoring pages does not make room for more. It also stays ignored through later recrawls, until you select Include again.

Keep A Whole Section Out

When many pages share part of their address, such as everything under /checkout, add a pattern instead of ignoring pages one at a time.

  1. On the Data Sources tab, select Included & Ignored Pages.
  2. Under Add a pattern, choose how it should match: Path starts with, Path contains, URL starts with or URL contains.
  3. Type the pattern, for example /checkout, and select Add Pattern. Path patterns begin with /, and patterns cannot contain spaces.

A pattern applies on the next crawl. Matching pages are skipped, and a matching page that was already indexed stops being used at that crawl. If one of those pages has to go today, ignore it as well. Each plan allows a set number of patterns per assistant: 2 on Free, 10 on Starter, 25 on Pro, 50 on Business and 100 on Agency.

Remove A Whole Source

Ignore is for website pages only. To stop using an uploaded file, a Manual Text source or a Manual Q&A source, or everything that came from one website source, select Remove on the source card. Flidu asks “Remove it and its indexed content?”. Select Remove again to confirm. The source and everything indexed from it leave the assistant. A source cannot be removed while a crawl for it is queued or running.

If The Page Still Shows Up In Answers

  • You deleted or edited the page on your website. That alone changes nothing in Flidu. The indexed copy stays in use until you ignore the page or recrawl its source.
  • The same content is on another page. Ask the question in the assistant’s Preview tab and read the Sources list under the answer to see which page was used. Then ignore that page too. Preview questions count toward your monthly AI messages.
  • You added a pattern but have not recrawled. Patterns wait for the next crawl. Use Ignore in the meantime.
  • The answer comes from a correction or a Manual Q&A pair. Those are separate sources, so ignoring a page does not affect them. Corrections are managed in the assistant’s Settings tab, under Corrections / Preferred Answers.
  • You only want to hide the link. Ignore takes the page out of answers. To keep the content in use but stop listing pages under answers, switch off Source Cards in the assistant’s Settings tab. That applies to every answer.

If the problem is the wording of an answer and not the page behind it, see Ask AI Gave A Wrong Or Outdated Answer.

Bring A Page Back

Select Include again on the ignored row. If Flidu kept the indexed copy, the page is used again at once and you see “Page included again.” Otherwise the message is “Page included. Index its source again to use it in answers.” and the row reads Needs reindexing until you recrawl the source.

For a page skipped by a pattern, open Included & Ignored Pages, select Review Skipped Pages and then Include again. Flidu adds a rule for that exact page, which counts toward your pattern total, and the page returns on the next crawl. Review Indexed Pages covers the full list and every status.
